ATM Global Crime Database Passes the 40,000 Mark for Reported Incidents
Wednesday, April 16, 2025
As of last week, the CCMIS (Crisis & Crime Management intelligence System) contained 42,579 incidents of ATM crime from 3,721 reports. So far this year, fraud has overtaken physical attacks as the most common type ATM crime in the U.S, with a surge in ATM Funds Transfer & Bill Payment Fraud.
If you know about an ATM crime incident, let others know, too. All ATMIA members have complete access to the crime database and security best practices. ATM crime incidents can be reported anonymously – anonymity of the exact location of the crime, as well as the crime reporter.
Check out the CCMIS now and/or report ATM crime.
