ATMIA Launches Cash Hub to Highlight the Importance of Cash

SIOUX FALLS, SD, CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA & LONDON, UK — The ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) this week launched Cash Hub. The new portal will house global information about pro-cash initiatives and trends, as well as stories from members about cash during and beyond the pandemic, as a resource for the industry.

To celebrate, ATMIA is calling on the ATM industry to submit their stories, videos, blogs, white papers, images and personal stories that highlight the importance of cash in society. Submissions will be compiled into a slideshow and displayed at the ATMIA US Conference, June 23-25, 2021, in Las Vegas.

“Across the globe cash remains the most widely used and popular form of payment,” said David Tente, ATMIA Executive Director for the US, Canada and Latin America. “It is our on-going mission at ATMIA to combat the negative press and help ensure consumers continue to have access to cash as a payment choice.”

The Cash Hub provides information about where cash access is being threatened, cash trends, statistics, infographics, news articles, videos, Cash Council meeting information and additional resources, designed to help ATM and cash businesses stay up to date.

“We constantly hear stories from our members about how cash has made a difference,” said Claire Feterl, ATMIA Membership & Marketing Associate. As part of the initiative, ATMIA is encouraging individuals and companies to share the stories and knowledge they have about cash - including how they have seen it impact their communities, successes in promoting cash access and more.

Feterl continues, “the Cash Hub is a venue for members to share their stories and a resource for others to see the benefits of cash; how it affects communities across the world and our industry plays a key role in providing cash access to so many. We are excited to be able to present this important resource for the industry and celebrate cash at our upcoming trade show.”

Articles, infographics, videos and other pro-cash news items, including personal stories, can be submitted to the Cash Hub here. The deadline to have it included in the slide show is 21 May 2021. All entries will be entered to win one of two prizes - a free year of membership or a free conference pass to a 2021 ATMIA conference.
