Sioux Falls, SD – February 22, 2024 – ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) is pleased to announce a significant milestone in its mission to advance the global ATM industry through collaboration and innovation. Today, ATMIA proudly unveils its strategic partnership with European Cash Management Companies Association (ESTA), a recognized voice of the cash industry ensuring that cash is safe, available and an efficient means of payment.
This partnership marks a significant step forward in enhancing the efficiency and security of financial transactions and access to cash globally. By leveraging each other's expertise and resources, ATMIA and ESTA aim to foster greater synergy between the ATM and cash management industries, ultimately benefiting consumers, businesses, and governments alike.
"As the world becomes increasingly interconnected, it is imperative that industries collaborate to address shared challenges and seize opportunities for growth and innovation," said Lonnie Talbert, CEO of ATMIA. "Our partnership with ESTA exemplifies our commitment to driving positive change and creating value for stakeholders across sectors."
The collaboration between ATMIA and ESTA recognises that both parties have common interests in the preservation of cash in society and undertake to consider joint actions and develop common messages for this purpose.
They will seek to share information and align views on policy developments of common interest in order to communicate jointly with regulators and policymakers.
Both parties agree to develop, where possible, joint position papers and draft joint letters to support their positions where a joint communication is preferable, or alternatively develop their own separate, possibly coordinated, communication where they believe it is preferable.
"We are excited to partner with ATMIA to consider solutions for securing cash access at a time when the cash infrastructure comes under such pressure ," said Guillaume Nonain, President of ESTA. "By combining our respective strengths, we can unlock new possibilities and deliver greater value to our stakeholders."
ATMIA and ESTA invite interested stakeholders to learn more about the partnership and its potential impact on the global ATM and cash industries.
