By ATMmarketplace.comDigital banking experts at Mapa Research say that changes to the NatWest banking app for Android have made it a top app with users, who rate it higher than the Android apps of other major U.K. FIs.
NatWest launched its new app toward the end of 2016; Mapa data indicates that users are enjoying it for both practical and personal reasons, according to a press release.
Mapa analysts looked at app ratings and reviews and found that an emergency cash feature, smooth navigation and ease of making payments lifted the redesigned NatWest app to the number one spot among Android users. Among Apple device users, it takes second place to the Lloyd's mobile banking app.
The Mapa App Score uses "sentiment analysis technology," to score banking app features that include security, privacy, elegance and usability. These are grouped into app performance factors: threshold (i.e., getting the basics right), emotional (design and experience) and functional (content and interoperability).
