Ohio HB 1633 was passed in the House last year, referred to the Senate and passed a committee vote, but was never taken up this year.
Illinois Senate SB 1979 passed and was sent to the House Consumer protection committee and passed. Although the Illinois Legislature adjourned on May 29, this measure is eligible for consideration during the state legislature’s veto session as well as the lame duck session. The veto session typically takes place in October and November, while the lame duck session can last until January, 2025.
The Michigan legislature is still in session, but SB 283 has not made any progress since it was introduced last year.
Pennsylvania is still in session, but SM 4137 has not made any progress since being introduced last year.
