View ShowroomI know that it is only November, but the March 25th Washington, DC Fly-in is closer than you think. The last two months of the year always seem to fly by quickly. The 7th ATMIA Washington, DC Fly-in is scheduled for March 25th and 26th. Once again, our meeting hotel is the JW Marriott hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue.
If you have never participated in one of these events, it is a great opportunity to talk with legislators and their staff about issues that affect your business. If you have participated before, you already know how valuable that time can be.
The group will meet from 5–7pm on March 25 at the hotel. In addition to having some time to get to know everyone, our activities on the Hill the next day will be the main focus. We will discuss the itinerary, what issues should be emphasized with each member, who is best to lead the conversation, and – for those first-timers – what to expect, in general.
Getting from the House side to the Senate, or vice-versa, is not exactly a walk down the hall. It is typically about 30 minutes, including getting through two security checkpoints. For that reason, our typical itinerary is four consecutive meetings on one side and four on the other.
I am also pleased to announce that FCTI is sponsoring the next Fly-in. They participated in this year’s event and were very enthusiastic about the value of engaging with our legislators. And plan to do so again next year.
If you have an interest in joining us next March, and/or in helping to make appointments, please reach out to me. I would also suggest that you reserve a room as soon as possible – as March approaches, room rates can increase significantly.
And please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Best regards to all.
