State level legislative alerts hit an all-time high

The Stateside alerts count is nearing 1,500 for the year, for 433 2024 bill introductions. Two-thirds are related to cryptocurrency or digital assets – even more than in 2023. Only 6 states did not introduce any legislation for issues that ATMIA is monitoring. New York, Minnesota and Arkansas continue to lead the pack for total new bills introduced with 60, 29 and 22 bills, respectively. 

California, the District of Columbia, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania are technically still in session, but no further actions affecting our industry are anticipated.
