By ATMmarketplace.comCompass Plus has announced that ABA Bank, in Cambodia, has launched E-Cash, an ATM withdrawal service.
The service allows users to transfer money to by sending a code that can be entered into any of the bank’s 140 ATMs within the country. Funds are available at any time, according to a release.
“Being able to send money easily and conveniently to areas where …banking services [are] extremely low is crucial in Cambodia, as many people work away and need to send money regularly to relatives. There was a strong need for creating an easy and secure channel to transfer money to unbanked people in rural areas,” said Sanzhar Abdullayev, Chief Card’s and E-Services Officer at ABA Bank.
