Another Extraordinary Theme for our February Conference

Last year’s U.S conference was incredible with its theme of AI (artificial intelligence) that carried through the Keynote speaker to our educational program and exhibit hall. This coming year will be no exception with a theme of The Super ATM – Facilitating Market Convergence.  ATM manufacturers and service providers are well down the path to minimizing differences between banking and retail ATMs. And you have an opportunity to learn much more about that dynamic this February, 10 -12 in Arlington, Texas.

The population of bank branches in the U.S. has been declining since about 2012. As a result, consumers and small businesses alike have fewer touch points for cash deposits and other banking services. In some rural areas, so-called “banking deserts” are popping up everywhere.

Enter – the “Super ATM”. From what I can determine, it appears that the Federal Reserve coined that term last year, in response to several pilot projects involving ATMs with advanced functionality. The goal was to enhance the capabilities of the retail ATM; primarily its ability to accept cash-in transactions, such as deposits and payments. The pilots were very successful. And we are seeing the emergence of more retail location banking centers – thanks to recycling ATMs that can also accept deposits, facilitate payments, and initiate money transfers.

Attendees at the 2026 ATMIA U.S conference will have multiple opportunities to learn more about these developments. Begin with the ATM Industry track, Breakout Session 3: From Access Point to Strategic Asset – The ATM's New Role in Retail.

This session will explore how advanced ATM solutions are transforming traditional cash access points into multifunctional financial hubs that drive value for retailers and consumers alike.  Additionally, attendees will learn how cash access innovations go beyond withdrawals to further expand financial inclusion and convenience for consumers.

Then with more of a focus on the FI perspective, Breakout Session 4: The Super ATM – Tools to Turn Ordinary ATMs into Self-Service Superheroes Your ATMs could become a force for 24/7 advanced account access, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This session is for every banker ready to transform from ATM caretaker to strategic superhero and elevate their institution’s self-service capabilities without a massive investment or complexity.

These are only two examples of 18 breakout sessions and 6 plenary sessions – not to mention 4 workshops and a great Keynote.

The best time to register is right now! Early Bird rates are in play, but only until January 9, 2026. The full agenda is only on the website for your review.

Best regards to all.
