by Jacquelynn Skotvold

Last week, the ATM industry convened in Arlington, Texas for the annual ATMIA US Conference—our largest and most energizing gathering of the year. With 1,071 attendees, over 100 exhibitors, and 53 speakers, the event showcased the strength, resilience, and forward momentum of our industry.

A Dynamic Industry Showcase

From independent deployers and financial institutions to manufacturers, processors, and technology innovators, the conference brought together every segment of the ATM ecosystem. The exhibit hall was buzzing with activity as exhibitors unveiled advancements in hardware, software, security, cash management, and AI-driven solutions designed to meet evolving consumer expectations.

More than just a trade show, the week served as a strategic forum—focusing on how we continue to innovate while safeguarding access, security, and sustainable growth.

Celebrating the Super ATM

A key highlight of this year’s conference was the continued evolution of the Super ATM. Sessions throughout the week explored how the ATM channel is expanding beyond traditional cash dispensing to become a multifunctional financial hub—supporting deposits, recycling, bill payments, digital integrations, retail services, and enhanced customer engagement.

Industry leaders shared practical insights and case studies demonstrating how next-generation ATM solutions are driving efficiency, profitability, and community access. The Super ATM is no longer a future vision—it is actively reshaping the payments landscape.

A Milestone Moment: Letter of Intent to Merge

We were especially grateful to have ePayResources join us in Arlington to celebrate an exciting milestone—the signing of our Letter of Intent to merge. This step brings together two strong, mission-driven organizations to better serve our members and strengthen the broader payments industry.

“As we wrap this year’s ATMIA US Conference, I leave feeling energized and excited about the future we will build together!” said Jeff Foote, President & CEO of ePayResources. “These past few days with ATMIA members, as well as the ATMIA team and board, have reinforced what we already knew: our organizations share a deep commitment to service, innovation, and personal connections as we deliver meaningful value to our members and the industries we serve. Thank you for the warm welcome!”

ATMIA President & CEO Lonnie C. Talbert added, “This conference demonstrated the power of collaboration across our industry. As we celebrate the rise of the Super ATM and deepen our advocacy efforts, our partnership with ePayResources strengthens our ability to serve members and champion a resilient, innovative payments ecosystem. The future we are building together is both strategic and member-focused.”

The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to advocacy, innovation, safeguarding payment choice and access, and delivering meaningful value to our members—positioning us to drive even greater impact across the evolving payments ecosystem.
