Regional Board Meeting Highlights – September 5th, 2024
On September 5th, the ATMIA Europe and Emerging Markets Regional Board convened online, with 21 members, including representatives from Brinks, Diebold Nixdorf, and ACI Worldwide.
Chairperson's Remarks
Gavin Reubenson, Chairperson of Paycorp, encouraged all attendees to prioritize the upcoming London summit, stressing the focus on cash advocacy, ATM security, and payment evolution. He urged members to network and grow our community.
Key Discussion Points
Vice-Chairperson Thyagrajan Sheshadri (EPS) discussed India’s progress with UPI, highlighting the transformative potential of UPI Interoperable Cash Deposits and Cardless Cash Withdrawals (ICCW) for ATM infrastructure. This is a significant opportunity for banks and operators to enhance their offerings.
Membership Growth
Erika Navarrete, Executive Director, emphasized growing membership and expanding conference attendance. Members were encouraged to promote the event and refer new members to take advantage of the referral program, offering discounts on membership fees. A webinar in November on UPI will follow as a product of the board meeting discussions.
