That’s right – we know that some of you are “seasonal” Stateside Alerts subscribers. Legislatures are busy cranking out and considering new legislation this time of year. Right now we are receiving, on average, about 15 alerts a day. These are all measures with potential impact on the ATM industry. By Thanksgiving, it is not unusual for that number to be zero.

In other words, this is absolutely the time of year when you want to be paying the closest attention to those alerts. 46 states have already introduced ATM related bills. New York is leading the pack with 32 and Texas is a distant second with 22. Crypto related bills are again the most prevalent, popping up in 44 states.

Whether you are resuming Stateside alerts or opting-in for the first time, it is a very easy process – and free to all ATMIA members in good standing:

  1. Log-in to your ATMIA account.
  2. In your account profile, click on the ‘Email Preferences’ link.
  3. Scroll down to the Stateside Alerts section to see the list of all 50 states.
  4. Select the Stateside Alerts box at the top of the list.
  5. To receive alerts for all states, click on the ‘Select All’ link in the upper right corner.
  6. Or to select a few individual states, click on the ‘Select None’ link in the upper right corner; then select all of the states you would like to receive alerts for.
  7. If you would like to stop receiving alerts, simply un-check the Stateside Alerts box at the top of the list.

There is no limit to the number of staff who can receive legislative alerts. And all members have access to the Stateside website, which includes an interactive map, detailed information about all bills, and options for creating reports. Go to the Advocacy/Regulatory monitoring web page and click on the ‘iStateLink Login’ button to access it. Login credentials are embedded in the button.

Thank you to all those members who have contributed to the Advocacy Fund, which makes this service possible. If your organization has not contributed to the advocacy fund during the past year – especially if your staff is utilizing the service – please consider making a contribution now.

Best regards to all.

David
