A 2023 Conference Homecoming

The 2023 ATMIA U.S. conference wrapped up last Thursday and it did indeed feel more like a homecoming than a conference. ATM industry representatives from around the globe reunited again at the world’s premiere and largest ATM event. Many had missed the last two conferences due to travel or budgetary restrictions.

Drum roll . . . the final count was 1,107 – the third largest attendance of all 24 ATMIA USA events. Of that total, 181 had either never been to an ATMIA USA event or had not been in the past 3 years. Financial institutions were back – 136 attendees representing 54 different FIs. As were foreign attendees – 134 from outside the U.S. representing 37 countries.

ATM outsourcing and managed services continues to be a hot topic within the industry, as was demonstrated by the 200 attendees participating in our workshop. Workshops on Next Gen ATMs, ATM access control, and next steps for crypto ATM deployers all had more than 100 in attendance.

The exhibit hall was teeming with activity from start to finish. In fact, it was often elbow to elbow making your way through the aisles. Feedback from all the exhibitors was excellent – including that from those who were there for the first time.

All of you who participated – sponsors, exhibitors, attendees, speakers, media – made this event possible. Our sincerest thanks for being part of it. Everyone should have already received a Thank You email, along with links to presentations made available to all. That email also includes an evaluation form. So, there is no rest for the weary. At least not the ATMIA staff weary. Next week we will begin working on a theme for the 2024 conference in Las Vegas at Caesar’s Palace. You can expect a Call for Speakers in late May or early June. And I’m sure the scramble for prime booth space will commence as soon as an exhibit hall map is available.
