View ShowroomI was delighted last week to make a presentation on the future of cash at the joint Auriga/Nautilus Hyosung Banking Innovation Event in Paris.
The venue for this event was very imaginative. Les Crayeres de Montquartiers is a historic chalk quarry, with majestic arcades under vaulted stone ceilings. An exciting location for an exciting event!
I am of course a great supporter of cash as a payment method. It was therefore inspiring for me to learn about the innovative work being done by both Auriga and Nautilus Hyosung to make cash and other payments more accessible and efficient in bank branches.I was particularly impressed by the multi-function equipment with touch-screen technology that allows cash recycling, cheque imaging deposits and contactless transactions, all supported by a friendly on-screen teller!
The event also featured presentations by Italian and American banks, demonstrating the practical benefits of innovation at branch level. Chase Bank produced a film which highlighted how customer service had been significantly improved. The happy smiles of both customers and staff certainly underlined the value of the new technology!
My own presentation was well received by the representatives of major French banks who attended this excellent event. Each banker was given a 5 Euro bank note with my contact details. My business cards have never been so popular!
A big thank you to both Auriga and Nautilus Hyosung for the invitation to speak at this event.I am always delighted to support ATMIA members in this way. Helping members, whilst at the same time proclaiming the wonders of cash, is an irresistible combination for me!
