RockItCoin Installs Its 100th Bitcoin ATM

RockItCoin, operator of the nation’s third largest bitcoin kiosk network, reached another milestone Wednesday, entering the Las Vegas market with the placement of its 100th ATM in the United States.

“We are strategically expanding our network to meet demand,” said Michael Dalesandro, CEO and founder of RockItCoin. “We are looking to double in size through new machine placements and acquisitions.”

Focusing its expansion on major metropolitan areas, Las Vegas was a natural fit. “We have machines in California and wanted to expand into this market,” said Dalesandro. The company plans to deploy more machines in Las Vegas and the western United States.

RockItCoin kiosks allow customers to purchase or sell a variety of cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, bitcoin cash, litecoin, and etherium.  “We have decided to focus on the cryptocurrencies our customers request the most,” explained Dalesandro, “but we can easily offer additional ones through the machine if necessary.”

Through iTunes, RockItCoin offers its customers a free digital wallet platform (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/rockitcoin/id1212099179?mt=8). “Our app provides the customer a convenient way to manage their cryptocurrencies while maintaining custody and control themselves,” said Dalesandro. “While not required to transact at the machine, the RockItCoin app works seamlessly with our ATMs.”

RockItCoin installed two machines in the area. The newly installed machines are located in the Arco AMPM at 300 West Lake Mead Blvd and in the Wyndham Desert Blue at 3200 West Twain Avenue.

Bitcoin kiosks operate as an automated teller, exchanging digital bitcoins into US dollars or dollars into bitcoins. “Our kiosks provide consumers with a safe, efficient, and fast way to obtain or sell bitcoins,” explained Dalesandro. After providing the RockItCoin kiosk with proper identification and validation done through a cell phone’s text messaging, customers can buy or sell bitcoin at the kiosk. Depending on the amount transacted, the whole process takes not much longer than a standard ATM visit.
