Gunnebo Strengthens Digital Capabilities with Software Acquisition

Gunnebo Group has acquired German software developer BELA EDV-Systems GmbH, a provider of high-tech solutions for the safe storage and locks industry. The transaction took place on September 7, 2022.

Gunnebo and BELA are long time partners. The acquisition equips Gunnebo Group’s business unit Gunnebo Safe Storage with advanced software development for Gunnebo’s automatic safe storage solutions, safe deposit lockers and high security locks.

“Through this acquisition we equip ourselves with further capabilities to continue to develop market-leading digital products within our Gunnebo Safe Storage business,” says Stefan Syrén, Gunnebo Group CEO and President.

The acquisition is part of Gunnebo Group’s transformation journey to grow by investing in existing and new customer segments, innovation and digitalization within the residential, high-end retail and bank segments.
