It is always nice to receive praise - and the ATM & Payments Innovation Summit earned more than its fair share!

Where does one start? Well, in my view, the ATMIA at its best creates a forum where everyone can have and express an opinion. So it was particularly pleasing to receive this praise from the CEO of a European FinTech Start-Up

“Many thanks for the great community you have created!”

Content is always a priority for me, so this testimonial, from a major South American company, brought particular pleasure

“We think that this event was outstanding in terms of content. I was very pleased to speak and that we could receive a lot of relevant information in return. It was genuinely an exercise of exchange.“

Since the event was staged in Italy, this appreciation from an Italian bank showed the event really ticked all the boxes from the Italian financial services perspective. The word "unique" is always a good measure of quality!

"Thank you Ron and thanks to all ATMIA team for this important event. There were interesting discussions and it has been an unique opportunity also to see a live exhibition from many producers. I brought away with me important ideas and points to be explored for our evolution and the digital transformation of  our ATM network. See you next time!"

Of course, for any such event to be judged truly successful, thought and debate has to be stimulated.

A major UK ATM Network certainly believed the Rome Summit was stimulating, telling us

"It was a great event with lots of interesting and provocative speakers.  I look forward to 2020’s event in Berlin!"

The quality of the speakers at such events has to be high- and those speakers also want to have a good and appreciative audience. So perhaps this comment from a major European bank is hardly surprising

"It was really my pleasure to participate at this significant event, with so many important attendees!"

Among the "important attendees" were representatives from every significant Italian Bank.

And, just to demonstrate that titillating the taste buds is just as important as stimulating the grey matter, we close with a quote from the CEO of a Northern British software company

“ ATMIA ran the event very well – and I enjoyed the food – well done!"

I think we can conclude from this sample of the plaudits received that Rome was a viewed as a great success by the vast majority of those who participated.

Now I move on to helping to create an even more successful Summit in Berlin in 2020!
