Prosegur incorporates David Fernández Granado as the new general manager of its cybersecurity unit

Prosegur has hired David Fernández Granado as the new global general manager of Cipher, the group's cybersecurity business unit. In this way, Prosegur promotes its strategy to strengthen its presence in the field of cybersecurity and turn Cipher into a leading and benchmark company in this market.

David Fernández Granado will have the main responsibility of promoting Cipher's growth, with a special focus on the United States, Brazil, Portugal and Spain. Similarly, in this new stage Cipher wants to deepen the development of differential services and higher added value. In this sense, the combination of Prosegur's capabilities in physical security with Cipher's in logical security represent a unique element in the global security market. In addition, the group's capacity for innovation will favor the development of the portfolio of cybersecurity solutions and services, providing cutting-edge technologies and the talent of the best professionals in the sector.

An industrial engineer from ICAI from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, Fernández Granado has more than fifteen years of experience in the cybersecurity sector. He highlights his activity as director at BT Security Iberia and director in the cybersecurity area at Minsait by Indra. To which he adds an extensive career developing and executing different cybersecurity strategies, turning strategic plans into tactical realities.
