In just over two months, ATMIA Europe’s flagship event will be arriving in Dublin for our very first joint Europe and Emerging Markets Conference 2023. The ATMs and Cash Summit 2023 – The Future of ATMs and the Path to Protect Access to Cash, as many of you are aware, will be taking place on October 18 - 19 October 2023 at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road - Dublin, Ireland. This is expected to be an exciting event, with many payment professionals who are expected to gather from around Europe and from further afield to participate in a unique experience, take part in shared learning and to network widely.

If you need to know more about the Summit, click here. Otherwise, if you haven’t already registered, please don’t delay!

Our face-to-face Europe Regional Board meeting will take place on October 17th (day before the start of the Conference) at 16:30 at the Clayton Hotel and we request as many of you to attend as possible.

The Advocacy Council meeting will take place at 15:30pm and this will give you the opportunity to meet fellow members, share your good news stories or discuss any pressing issues you are facing. Invitations for the Advocacy Council will be sent to you shortly. I hope that you are all able to attend as your cooperation in this Council is critical to ensure we are providing the right support to all our members and that we continue to understand and learn from each other.

On day 2 of the Conference in Dublin, we are looking to hold an Advocacy Panel to discuss key issues facing the industry.

The panel will discuss the Future of Cash and the Key Challenges for the Future of Cash vs Digital Payments. The outcomes of the discussions will help us to better understand what our members are most concerned about to help us identify where we should focus our advocacy efforts.

Before I end, I would like to remind you about our European Advocacy Fund, which you have been donating to over the years. Without your contributions, ATMIA will not be able to continue its very important advocacy work on behalf of you, our members, supporting all aspects of payment choice around Europe.

We look forward to receiving your contributions in the coming years.

If you are interested writing an article for the Advocacy Column and you have a burning issue you would like to write about for the next edition of the Newsletter, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I am really looking forward to meeting many of you in Dublin.

Cheers,
Sofia Sadiq
International Advocacy and Content Manager
