The New Orleans City Council will meet on January 17 to consider a motion directing the City Planning Commission to conduct a public hearing to consider amendments to eliminate Non-Commercial Short-Term Rentals as a defined land use and update any and all relevant provisions governing the zoning and use standards for short-term rentals. The Council will also consider a motion directing the Commission to hold a hearing to establish a new interim zoning district to be named the Non-Commercial Short-Term Rental Interim Zoning District, the intent of which is to prohibit the Short-Term Rental, Non-Commercial use within all areas of the City of New Orleans.

WISCONSIN
The Senate Health Committee will hold a hearing on January 18 regarding SB 705. This measure expands conscience protections for pharmacists to apply to all drugs or devices, instead of just contraceptives. The measure also bans PBMs from penalizing pharmacies or pharmacists for dispensing a drug or device with a valid prescription for a use other than the one that is FDA-approved.
